2008 Edition

Welcome to the website dedicated to the 2008 Dijon International Historical European Martial Arts Gathering.

Since 2002 the Dijon gathering has offered all those interested - enthusiasts, researchers, martial artists, students - in the rediscovery of the Historical European Martial Arts an incredible opportunity to better know the works accomplished in the re-creation of this near-forgotten part of the European heritage, through lectures, workshops, demonstrations and sharing of interpretations and many things more.

The 2008 edition will take place on April 24 to April 27, 2008, organised by De Taille et d'Estoc and the Historical European Martial Arts Coalition, in partnership with the University of Burgundy in Dijon, France.

This event is open to all !

The increasing success of the Dijon event, not only in terms of attendance, but also in terms of scholarly exchange, martial skill, quality of instructors and lecturers - and also socially speaking, has made of "Dijon" - as it is now called - one of the greatest similar events worldwide for the ever-growing HEMA community. Every year we are happy and proud indeed to see all those great people sharing such great moments, both in terms of research and martial work, and in the fantastic spirit of comradeship bonding all those attending.
