Instructors
The 2008 Dijon event will consist of various workshops, demonstrations and lectures. The final programme is now available as a PDF file at the bottom of the page.
Most of the lectures, workshops and demonstrations will be run in English - we will try to provide translations when possible, however.
Thus, the 2008 HEMAC Dijon event will be honored by the presence of the following instructors, teaching on lecturing on the subjects mentionned below :

Szabolcs Waldmann (A Kard Rendje, Hungary) - workshop : Effectiveness in duelling (various sources).
Phil Marshall (The School of the Sword, United Kingdom) - workshop : The Rapier by Salvator Fabris (or Francesco Alfieri) (Italy, early XVIIth century).
Colin Richards (Arts of Mars, Germany) - workshop/Lecture : New Liberi longsword research (TBC). Demonstration : New research on Viking large shield usage. Workshops (depending upon the time availability) : Fiore dei Liberi wrestling / dagger.Â
Daniel Jaquet (Switzerland) - lecture : Fighting in armour : aspects of armoured fighting in opposition to the principles of Liechtenauer's civilian figthing, in the scope of the judical duel (Germany, XVth century)
Martin Enzi (Dreynschlag, Austria) - workshop : disarming techniques with the Langes Messer, after Lecküchner (Germany, late XVth century) (this workhop will be only open to people with some experience in Messer fighting).
Stevie Thurston (United Kingdom) : the English treatise Additional Manuscript 39564 (XVth century), an open discussion and group work on the techniques therein.
Ilkka Hartikainen (Finland)Â - workshops :Â core skills for Fiore dei Liberi's system / Fiore dei Liberi's defining plays : the principles (Northern Italy, early XVth century).
Harald Winter (Dreynschlag, Austria) - workshop : basic dagger fighting techniques : attacks, defenses, counters, either unarmed versus dagger, or dagger versus dagger (XVth century).
Predrag Nicolic (Zornhau e.V., Germany)Â - workshop :Â Lignitzer's wrestling, Lignitzer's dagger (late XVth century, germany) /Â Joachim Meyer's Halbe Stange (short staff) (Strasburg, 1570) (TBC).
Matt Easton (Schola Gladiatoria, UK) - lecture : Swords in late Medieval England.
Olivier Dupuis (les Guerriers d'Avalon, France) - lecture and workshop : Des Bordes (France, early XVIIth century) : the man and his life, the place of his works in the national and international Martial writings, and the difficulty of interpretating his teachings, with selected examples.
Wolfgang Ritter (Zornhau e.V., Germany)Â - workshop : sword and buckler plays from Andres Liegnitzer (Germany, XVth century).
Gaëtan Marain (PEAMHE/Arts d'Armes, France) - workshop : wrestling with the longsword. A study of the plays shared by the Liechtenauerian tradition (Germany, XVth century).
