Instructors
The 2010 Dijon this event will consist of classes (for all levels of practice in HEMA), lectures on groundbreaking research on more generalistic topics, demonstrations, tournaments and time for exchange, freeplay, practice, and socializing. A vast period of European Martial history, from Antiquity to early XXth century, will be addressed.
We expect researchers, instructors and practitioners from all over Europe, and even beyond its frontiers. Already, renowned instructors and researchers from France, Austria, Germany, Portugal, Hungary, Spain, United Kingdom have expressed their will to teach and/or lecture during this event. The list is growing - and will be posted here soon -Â watch this space.
Most of the lectures, workshops and demonstrations will be in English - we will try to provide translations when possible, however.

"This workshop is a continuation of the last year's insight into Meyer's use of dagger and will focus on some more advanced techniques and aspects of fighting. The participants should wear fencing masks, gloves, protection for upper body (a sweat shirt with long sleeves at minimum. NB: this is not fighting in armour). A small number of wooden dagger simulators will be provided; however, the participants are encouraged to bring their own."
 We are also expecting Matt Galas and Seve Hick, among others, to teach during this event.
 Also, French swordsmith Gaël Fabre has agreed to attend the event and enlighten us on sword-making process.
